Genny Heikka is an author, speaker, and passionate mentor to moms and writers. From mentoring teen moms through Youth for Christ and serving as Mentor Mom Coordinator for MOPS, to sharing about writing and publishing on her podcast, Genny has a passion for encouraging others. Before having kids, she was a manager at a global computer company and was busy climbing the corporate ladder. But after quitting her job to be a stay-at-home mom, she rediscovered her love of writing and set out to pursue her dream of becoming an author.
Today, she lives in Northern California with her husband and two kids, where she balances writing with motherhood and loves both. She’s written seven children’s books and regularly contributes to a variety of magazines and websites. Her work has been published in Kirtsy Takes a Bow: A Celebration of Women’s Favorites Online, as well as two mentoring resources by TheMomInitiative.com: Facing our Fears – 31 Stories from M.O.M.and Overwhelmed – 31 Stories from M.O.M.
